When a product has no scannable barcode, such as loose strips or older stock, typing a few letters of the name brings up the matching products and batches.
Lifemaan holds stock per batch with its expiry date, captured when the consignment is received. You choose how far ahead to be warned — sixty days, ninety, whatever suits your turnover — and stock entering that window appears on a near-expiry list with quantity and value. At the counter, the earliest-expiring batch is suggested first, so old stock moves out by default.
